THE LOCKET MAGIC

When your character is brought to the Drabwurld they will be given two things: a map and a locket. While the former is self-explanatory, the latter is a gift that the imps and fairies will explain as follows (although you had better pay attention if the imps are your guides, for they tend to miss bits out);
"... a magical locket from the leader of your faction, traveller! Ask it to show you the other person's face, to carry their voice or to send a message of scripture and it will be done. You may speak to friend or foe, in or out of your sanctuary. Do not lose it, for another may not be granted!"
The interior of the locket is bare until the appropriate medium is requested (video, audio or text). During video calls the image of the other person is seen and when audio is initiated a small, static painted picture of the other person speaking will appear. The text function must be dictated to, and though the interior of the locket will look like inked lettering is appearing over parchment it will act as something of a Ye Olde AIM messenger, able to be scrolled up and down with a touch.

The lockets are palm-sized respective to their owners, with extremely large characters (dragons, for example) owning special functions that shrink and expand theirs on command. All lockets are waterproof and conversations in each medium cannot be erased. It is possible to 'private' or 'lock' calls at your discretion. When you receive a direct call or message, the locket will chime (unlike when a general network post is made).
