PLANS Tzilan has considered the alliance of the Kin with Dorchadas, even temporarily, a significant defeat, and will be letting other projects slip in the attempt to maintain that crow-bar of separation. However, he quickly becomes the only elder who regrets the call, and a coup for power is executed upon him. The timeskip will be a significant personal journey for Tzilan, as it begins with him using the ancient artifact to cripple the power of the monarchs, and re-assesses his position on the war. He will rebuild himself slowly, looking to start a mage university within the drabwurld, and slowly develops more personal relationships.
SUMMARY OF KNOWN DETAILS Tzilan will, over the course of timeskip:
+ be deposed as the most powerful vampir in the drabwurld and become politically damaged goods
+ visiting a lot of cities and touching base with cr, building new cr
+ begin plans to make a university

MARCH
“I mustn’t,” he informed her, musical voice quieted, without inflection. “I mustn’t, and nor must you. The avatar of the Void…” His voice tailed off as a hard wind whipped them.
“I’ve failed, Alyosha. You’ve failed. All of us are failing, actively, together. The only thing we can accomplish, now, is to grip stability tight. To preserve things until the end is come. To thwart the madness.”
“I don’t believe that,” she whispered, voice soft, feelingly urgent. “I cannot believe that. I haven’t lived all this time, I haven’t suffered all this much, only to fail. I didn’t learn at your knee the way of this world just to give up on the eve of darkness. My children didn’t die for that. I didn’t die for that.”
“And what did your death accomplish, in the end?” He murmured, almost mechanically. “Either of them? I was so certain that Reynard had been the host of the Void, certain enough that I cast you in his path for the Shuck to destroy. Your death won you nothing but continuing pain. And I? I have seen more of this world than you could ever dream, my dear Alexei. I have walked more of the threads between worlds than you’ve yet glimpsed. Pulled and tugged at the tapestry of them long enough to make what little we have now, and yet…”
He smiled, almost blandly. “And yet… here we are. The centuries, they slipped away. And greater men and women than you have been crushed in these efforts.”
“Tzilan,” she challenged, one-armed, squeezing him fondly, “There’s still time! The Shuck hasn’t begun warring with his--”
“You were always Unseelie,” he murmured, comfortingly. “Right down to your bones. Always believing things could be different than they are. Look at yourself, Alyosha. How much more do you have to give?”
It stung. They walked a little longer in silence, and came to an old place. Stones and bones peeked up through the crust of snow.
They wandered together through them, and spoke quietly of other things.
Yule, 2701
But the last thing in the box is different. It is a collection of sketches in charcaol, by a deft hand. For each dossier that Tzilan gave Dorian whom Dorian then employed at the Rook, there is a picture of that person at work in the theatre: bright, happy, belonging. Allowed to engage again with the art that matters to them.
Dorian feels no need to leave a note.
